How to survive your first night
Check the area at far render distance. If there are no trees in sight, you might as well start a new world.
If you see trees, walk up to them and chop them down. As soon as you have at least three wood, craft yourself a workbench. Craft a pickaxe and an axe.
Take your crafting box with you. Walk around the area, but keep close to the spawn point.
While you are walking, you can chop down trees. Also look for coal, and hills of three or more blocks at a time.
In these you can easily dig a hole which is to become your first base.
Craft toches from your coal, a door and chests from your wood, and a furnace from your cobblestone to decorate your base with.
A few tips:
- Cactii might be handy to build walls; they also hurt monsters.
